Wallowa is the first little community you come to on Highway 82 as you enter the beautiful Wallowa Valley. The park is bordered on one side by the Wallowa River and the Nez Perce Indian Grounds, where each year they hold the Tamkaliks Friendship Celebration Feast and Pow Wow. Come and relax with us in the Wallowa Valley, one of the most beautiful areas in northeastern Oregon. Enjoy our private river access and close proximity to Joseph and Wallowa Lake. We want your stay to be peaceful and memorable. We look forward to having you at our park and we hope you enjoy your stay with us. Wallowa River RV Park has 31 pull-through sites. Each site has full hook-ups, which include city water and sewer, electricity, cable TV, and Wi-Fi access. Most sites have both 30 and 50 amp breakers. Sites one through six are 50 amp only (50 to 30 amp converters are available for purchase or rental). Also available for rent are a 30ft pull trailer (sleeps two adults and two children or three adults) and a 29ft 5th wheel (sleeps four adults). The bathrooms are clean and spacious with shower facilities that are handicap accessible. In addition, there is a small coin operated laundry facility with a soda pop vending machine inside. A fax machine, copier, and emergency landline telephone service are available in the office. Picnic tables are available at most sites. There are two huge fire pits that are great for gatherings, a horseshoe pit and a nice green lawn along the river that invites you sit, relax, read a book, take a nap or just visit with friends and family! The park can accommodate family gatherings and still keep privacy intact for the single rig just wanting to get away from it all. The park is clean and relaxing. Pets are welcome as long as they are quiet, kept on a leash at ALL times, and are picked up after. Pets are not allowed to be left unattended. The park is 7 miles from Lostine, 17 miles from Enterprise (county seat), 25 miles from Joseph and 30 miles from the head of Wallowa Lake. From the RV park, it is a three block walk to the grocery store, video and pizza shop, or adult watering hole. The Chief Joseph burial site, Wallowa Lake Moraines, Eagle Cap Mountains, Snake River, and Hell’s Canyon, are just to name a few. Travel through the Hells Canyon Byway, one of the region’s premier attractions, by car, boat or foot. Hells Canyon is the deepest canyon in North America, and easily one of the most spectacular. The raging wild waters are bounded by canyon walls rising more than a mile on each side. Some of the exposed volcanic rock is estimated to be 250-300 million years old. Eight sets of Class III to V rapids make sections of the river some of the most challenging rafting areas in the United States. With nearly 900 miles of trails in the area, there is something to excite either the new or experienced hiker. Located within easy driving distance of the Minam, Wallowa, Grand Ronde, Rock Creek, Lostine, and Imnaha River, we can offer memorable experiences to the novice or veteran angler. Wallowa River meandering some 50 miles from its outlet on the north end of Wallowa Lake to its confluence with the Grande Ronde River, the Wallowa is an excellent rainbow trout fishery with a good steelhead run to boot. While the resident rainbow population is in the river year-round, steelhead begin showing up in mid-February, peaking between mid-March and mid-April, when the season for them closes. Steelhead here run from 4 to 10 pounds, with 4- to 6-pounders being typical. Key Species: rainbow trout, steelhead.
