Area Activities: * Wine Tasting With warm sunny days and cool nights, this region is perfect for producing fine wines from hearty robust reds, to whites which tingle your palate or those which are cool, fruity and glide in your mouth like silk. * Leavenworth The "Bavarian Village" From a dying timber and rail town it converted itself into an alpine Bavarian village. Leavenworth has become a pillar of the tourism industry in the Pacific Northwest. Today, more than 2.5 million tourists come to Leavenworth each year. * Leavenworth Summer Theater * Rafting & Kayaking Spring means white-water river rafting and kayaking on the Wenatchee River. The whitewater season generally lasts from April through July; but the river is great for relaxing trips from April until October. Several rafting companies with qualified guides for half-day and full day trips. Get ready to get wet!!! * Golf Perhaps golf is your game. You will find 2 great courses only a short drive away. Great snowboarding and family fun. * Cross-country skiing In Leavenworth you will find over 24 kilometers of groomed trails. The Leavenworth Sports Club grooms three cross-country area in Leavenworth allowing skiers to enjoy some outdoor adventure and breath-taking views. Each trail has its own personality and are fit for beginners to more advanced skiers. * Mountain Biking & Bicycling There are many areas in and around the Upper Valley for mountain biking. The Devils Gulch road less wilderness area offers excellent mountain biking. The trails have been featured in many outdoor and mountain biking magazines and attract visitors from around the United States and Canada. Make sure to contact the Leavenworth Ranger Station for permit information. The mountain scenery in the area provides an excellent backdrop for a day of cycling whether you're in for a full day or a just a quick jaunt. There is a excellent loop around the Leavenworth Valley that is pleasant and easy on the biker. These are just a few of the many activates available in the area. You can also find great fishing, hiking, horseback riding, bird watching, snow mobiling, boating, sailing, windsurfing.
